Mike has established himself as a virtuosic and versatile player who is equally at home playing traditional bluegrass tunes or exploring more contemporary genres\, while singing lead and harmony vocals. \nLinda Null is a dynamic and soulful vocalist best known for singing in her former and very busy duo\, Acoustic Moose. Linda has a loyal following in South Central PA as well as Northern VA. With a voice reminiscent of Etta James and Janis Joplin\, she plays keyboard and guitar\, sings lead\, and joins Mike to create exquisite vocal harmonies. \nHopeless Semantics plays a wide variety of Americana music\, including classic rock\, country\, blues\, and bluegrass. This duo focuses on harmonies and the use of multiple 6-string guitars\, combined with 12-string guitar and mandolin\, as well as keyboard\, to provide a very diverse and memorable show.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, September 14th\, from 3-6PM for live music by Joe Bernui \nBio:\nJoe Bernui has been playing music professionally for decades. Starting in the early 80’s\, he was lead guitar player in a Washington\, DC area band “Ignition\,” also contributing solid vocal harmonies and an occasional lead vocal.\nDuring the 1990’s Joe’s next band “Shirkaday” found themselves in need of a lead singer. Having no luck finding a suitable vocalist through auditions\, Joe became that band’s lead singer in addition to playing guitar.\nAs the “Acoustic Rock” genre became popular in the mid-late 90’s\, Joe began doing solo shows\, finding it to be much more lucrative\, while still playing with a number of bands in Northern Virginia.\nFor the last 15+ years\, Joe has been doing mostly solo/acoustic shows. Now living in Sarasota\, FL\, he has been working steadily at Tiki Bars\, Restaurants\, Country Clubs and private parties\, occasionally as part of a duo.\nJoe’s long-time bandmate and songwriting partner\, Brian Curtiss will be joining him for this show at Flying Ace!

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, September 13th\, from 6-9PM for live music featuring America’s Got Talent contestant\, Drew Stevyns\, at Flying Ace Farm. \nDrew’s Bio: \nPerforming since the age of two\, Drew Stevyns started his career singing in church choirs while growing up in England. After returning to the U.S.\, Drew continued his musical development by taking piano lessons\, writing songs and teaching himself how to play guitar.\nDrew believes in the purity of music. There is a palpable sadness to his voice that makes his songs impossible to shake\, and the music surges; hard-edged yet beautiful and melodic. He has released three albums: ‘Waiting’ in 2009\, ‘Please Excuse the Machine’ in 2011 and ‘Somewhere in Between’ in 2015. \nDrew’s voice is hypnotic in nature and pulls the listeners close in a unique way that allows the audience to feel what he feels. Listeners are able to connect with his music in a very personal and emotional way that few artists’ are able to achieve. “Every experience you have in life only adds to your repertoire as a musician.” In 2009\, Drew touched the hearts of millions as a TOP 10 finalist on the NBC show ‘America’s Got Talent’. While on the show\, he was fortunate enough to work with top music producers Nigel Wright and Shane Keister. \nShortly after the conclusion of ‘America’s Got Talent’\, Drew was asked to endorse a new brand of Paul Reed Smith (PRS) guitars which resulted in a showcase performance with his band at the famous ‘Whisky A Go-Go’. \nDrew has shared the stage with Grammy-winning singer-songwriter\, Thelma Houston\, The Charlie Daniels Band\, Josh Doyle\, Shelly Rann and Sarah Lou Richards. His song ‘Waiting’ placed 3rd in the International Songwriting Competition. \nIn 2010\, Drew was asked to perform at the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore raising money for the Artists for Amy Foundation. Additionally\, he was invited by ‘Artist to the Stars’ Corey Frizzell to perform at the ‘Lyrics for Lyric’ Benefit in Nashville to support Childhood Cancer Research. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, September 8th\, from 2-5PM featuring Dennis & Brad’s Great Brewery Tour at Flying Ace Farm. \nBand Bio: \nI’ve been on a national tour of craft breweries since 2018 (we just got home from a 7-week West Coast tour\, and have now played more than 600 breweries in 45 states so far)… I play music (an eclectic mix of my own music\, Americana/Celtic traditional\, and covers you love but rarely hear… rootsy stuff like Grateful Dead\, the Pogues\, John Prine\, Wilco\, Violent Femmes\, early college rock\, etc.) and write about breweries. We’re also in development of a reality show (we just shot the pilot a few weeks ago at a historic brewery in Cincinnati) that combines our brewery stops with the comedy of our tour shenanigans and the music angle of playing with local legends (like while in Minneapolis Paul Westerberg might sit in\, etc.). The tour will return to Virginia in September\, playing shows and scouting brewery locations for future episodes of the show. \nDue to exploding demand for the tour… in 2022 we played nearly 200 shows… my son Brad Wehlitz from Freak Mythology has joined the tour\, and we are now playing as a duo (both multi-instrumentalists\, trading guitars\, bass\, bouzouki\, mandolin\, lapsteel\, harp\, wicked harmonies\, etc.)\, which is a ton of fun and depth and variety to the music. \n  \n  \n

I play acoustic arrangements of covers as well as my own originals. The covers range from singer/songwriters from the 60s and 70s like Simon and Garfunkel and James Taylor\, current pop hits from One Direction and The Chainsmokers\, and everything in between. \nI have a bachelor’s degree in classical guitar and have played lead guitar and sang vocals in classic rock\, indie\, pop punk\, and metal bands. I utilize the classical guitar training to create my acoustic arrangements of covers\, combining the elements of bass\, guitar\, and driving percussive energy all on a single guitar. \nI have a YouTube channel (Red Hawes) with original and cover videos. I have an additional channel (Drew Hawes – Noah’s Gigs with Friends) that has videos from performances with the bands I have been in\, past and present\, as well as solo performances.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, August 10th\, from 3-6PM for live music by Joe Bernui \nBio:\nJoe Bernui has been playing music professionally for decades. Starting in the early 80’s\, he was lead guitar player in a Washington\, DC area band “Ignition\,” also contributing solid vocal harmonies and an occasional lead vocal.\nDuring the 1990’s Joe’s next band “Shirkaday” found themselves in need of a lead singer. Having no luck finding a suitable vocalist through auditions\, Joe became that band’s lead singer in addition to playing guitar.\nAs the “Acoustic Rock” genre became popular in the mid-late 90’s\, Joe began doing solo shows\, finding it to be much more lucrative\, while still playing with a number of bands in Northern Virginia.\nFor the last 15+ years\, Joe has been doing mostly solo/acoustic shows. Now living in Sarasota\, FL\, he has been working steadily at Tiki Bars\, Restaurants\, Country Clubs and private parties\, occasionally as part of a duo.\nJoe’s long-time bandmate and songwriting partner\, Brian Curtiss will be joining him for this show at Flying Ace!
