DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, August 10th\, from 3-6PM for live music by Joe Bernui \nBio:\nJoe Bernui has been playing music professionally for decades. Starting in the early 80’s\, he was lead guitar player in a Washington\, DC area band “Ignition\,” also contributing solid vocal harmonies and an occasional lead vocal.\nDuring the 1990’s Joe’s next band “Shirkaday” found themselves in need of a lead singer. Having no luck finding a suitable vocalist through auditions\, Joe became that band’s lead singer in addition to playing guitar.\nAs the “Acoustic Rock” genre became popular in the mid-late 90’s\, Joe began doing solo shows\, finding it to be much more lucrative\, while still playing with a number of bands in Northern Virginia.\nFor the last 15+ years\, Joe has been doing mostly solo/acoustic shows. Now living in Sarasota\, FL\, he has been working steadily at Tiki Bars\, Restaurants\, Country Clubs and private parties\, occasionally as part of a duo.\nJoe’s long-time bandmate and songwriting partner\, Brian Curtiss will be joining him for this show at Flying Ace!

Jim Moon\, acclaimed pianist and guitarist had been playing in classic rock band\, Mr. Jimmy\, alongside fellow musician\, Mary Alyce Wicks. The two then joined forces again\, along with Deb Dalby\, singer and percussionist\, to complete the Moon Music trio. \nThe trio arranges unique “original covers” suited to the trio’s own vocal blend and instrumentation\, rather than duplicating the original. Moon Music is known for their different takes and “unlikely covers” for a vocal trio\, such as songs by Pink Floyd\, the Everly Brothers\, Led Zeppelin\, Queen and many more.

I play acoustic arrangements of covers as well as my own originals.
