DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, September 6th\, from 3-6PM for live music by Joe Bernui \nBio:\nJoe Bernui has been playing music professionally for decades. Starting in the early 80’s\, he was lead guitar player in a Washington\, DC area band “Ignition\,” also contributing solid vocal harmonies and an occasional lead vocal.\nDuring the 1990’s Joe’s next band “Shirkaday” found themselves in need of a lead singer. Having no luck finding a suitable vocalist through auditions\, Joe became that band’s lead singer in addition to playing guitar.\nAs the “Acoustic Rock” genre became popular in the mid-late 90’s\, Joe began doing solo shows\, finding it to be much more lucrative\, while still playing with a number of bands in Northern Virginia.\nFor the last 15+ years\, Joe has been doing mostly solo/acoustic shows. Now living in Sarasota\, FL\, he has been working steadily at Tiki Bars\, Restaurants\, Country Clubs and private parties\, occasionally as part of a duo.\nJoe’s long-time bandmate and songwriting partner\, Brian Curtiss will be joining him for this show at Flying Ace!
