Join us on Saturday, December 13th, from 3-6pm for live music featuring Patty Reese at Flying Ace Farm.
Patty’s Bio:
From performing 250 dates a year, solo acoustic and/or full band, Americana artist Patty Reese has earned troubadour status. Her powerhouse vocals, strong work ethic and sharply honed songwriting skills paved the way for this new release Lift Us Up, her most captivating work to date.
“Recording this new album Lift Us Up, has been cathartic and nothing short of a complete joy for me.”
When offered the opportunity to record on the Nashville-based Creative and Dreams label with a top notch producer and fantastic studio, Patty was excited to explore the broad scope of Americana including American Roots, Blues and Soul showcasing her diverse vocal style and life experience.
A fan and critic favorite, Reese has been recognized by the Washington DC Area Music Association with 17 awards including Artist, Songwriter and Album of the Year. Performances include major venues and festivals including supporting international artists—Beth Hart, Greg Allman, Buddy Guy, Aretha Franklin, Little Feat, Ruthie Foster and others.
Songwriting influences include Bob Dylan, Brandi Carlisle and Chris Stapleton. Recognizing her stunning and commanding vocals and a no holds barred approach to performance, Patty has been compared to Aretha Franklin, Tanya Tucker, Adele and Janis Joplin and cites all of them as major inspiration.
Earlier releases Let in the Sun, Here and Now, and Strong Medicine – #1 on ADP Global Indicator Radio chart – collectively enjoyed Americana and National Roots Music Reports status, including 5 singles in the Top 40.
“My music has always been my palette and safe harbor for loving and laughing at life and expressing my deepest pain. Most important to me is delivering bone deep, authentic, truth.”
On “Lift Us Up” (title track and first single) with strong Gospel-like layered vocals, Patty affirms our combined capacity to have each other’s back and lift each other up. “Root of the Matter,” is a Rolling Stonesy romp through a funny, self deprecating look at a tragically ridiculous relationship. By contrast, “Wild Blue Yonder” is a Rock rollercoaster, evoking the freedom and the exaltation of living and healing after recovery in a Born to be Wild kind of way. “Salty and Sweet” is a super fun dance tune celebrating the heat of a zesty relationship with a partner who’s tantalizingly Salty and Sweet! Patty’s soulful vocals and impeccable phrasing continues to shine on timeless classics “Help Me Make It Through The Night” (Kris Kristofferson), “The Dock of The Bay” (Otis Redding), “Mandolin Wind” (Rod Stewart) along with the Burt Bacharach anthem and always relevant “What The World needs Now Is Love.”

The Patty Reese Band: A Night to Remember
One Night Stand featuring Patty Reese
by Tyler Thomas | May 31, 2025
Join us on Saturday, December 6th, from 3-6PM for live music by Noah “Red” Hawes.
Noah’s Bio:
My name is Noah “Red” Hawes and I’m a local performer in the Frederick area. I play acoustic arrangements of covers as well as my own originals. The covers range from singer/songwriters from the 60s and 70s like Simon and Garfunkel and James Taylor, current pop hits from One Direction and The Chainsmokers, and everything in between.
I have a bachelor’s degree in classical guitar and have played lead guitar and sang vocals in classic rock, indie, pop punk, and metal bands. I utilize the classical guitar training to create my acoustic arrangements of covers, combining the elements of bass, guitar, and driving percussive energy all on a single guitar.
I have a YouTube channel (Red Hawes) with original and cover videos. I have an additional channel (Drew Hawes – Noah’s Gigs with Friends) that has videos from performances with the bands I have been in, past and present, as well as solo performances.
