Join us on Sunday, August 17th, from 2-5pm for live music featuring Army Veteran Eric Tubbs.
Eric’s Bio: A Virginia-born son of a musician Soldier. Eric was born at Langley Air Force Base in August of 1983 and he grew up on the sandy streets of Virginia Beach soaked in grunge, reggae, punk, and country. While in bands throughout middle school and high school, he tried to emulate the sounds of Bradley Nowell, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, and the hoards of talented musicians in Tidewater Virginia.
The coastal communities influence his singing and playing and through the melodies he intends for the audience to visualize themselves on a beach chair with a delicious, juicy beverage watching the rum runner sun sink behind blue green waves lapping on the Ocean View beach.
A 16 year Soldier himself, Eric has opened up for Fastball, Edwin McCain, and Dierks Bentley while traveling from South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, Kansas, and overseas in Korea, Germany, Albania, and Australia for the Army.

Join us on Saturday, September 6th, from 3-6PM for live music by Joe Bernui
Bio:
Joe Bernui has been playing music professionally for decades. Starting in the early 80’s, he was lead guitar player in a Washington, DC area band “Ignition,” also contributing solid vocal harmonies and an occasional lead vocal.
During the 1990’s Joe’s next band “Shirkaday” found themselves in need of a lead singer. Having no luck finding a suitable vocalist through auditions, Joe became that band’s lead singer in addition to playing guitar.
As the “Acoustic Rock” genre became popular in the mid-late 90’s, Joe began doing solo shows, finding it to be much more lucrative, while still playing with a number of bands in Northern Virginia.
For the last 15+ years, Joe has been doing mostly solo/acoustic shows. Now living in Sarasota, FL, he has been working steadily at Tiki Bars, Restaurants, Country Clubs and private parties, occasionally as part of a duo.
Joe’s long-time bandmate and songwriting partner, Brian Curtiss will be joining him for this show at Flying Ace!
